Another fine Jam with our sister band from across time.

Joey Rymer, Jared Jesperson and the James Lee Cult Revival.

It was a warm clear beautiful night in Mariposa, located on the edge of Yosemite National Forest, and the crew was there with bells on.. SBE opened the night with a disjointed and somewhat discordant set, that still managed to create the perfect opening for our sister band, THE JAMES LEE CULT REVIVAL who brought on a delectable set of originals that really delighted the crowd of 200 hundred or so locals that had come down to the little natural amphitheatre for the show.
The Maji slipped in on the electric handdrums to begin a transition between the two bands that kept the music going the whole time! As Daniel Dominguez on the guitar and Vincent Mitchell on the bass guitar slipped in and Joey and Jared and the boys of the James Lee Cult Revival slipped off, The SuperBeat was playing the Show, and building the energy that would culminate in a group jam with all the members of both bands sculpting a 20 minute Super Jam to end the evening.
The event showcased a set of Joey Rymer’s latest material, which is very very solid. This Critic expects to hear these tunes played for a long time! More to come, as these two bands will be performing in Laguna Beach on August 6th at TACO LOCO, show starts at 8.

It was a magical day of fireworks, beachin’ it, and a 4 hour Jam to top it off.
The Gang of usual jamsters pulled together by SuperBeat’s Bass player Vincent Mitchell, included “RJ” Jeffries on guitar and Bill on Mandolin, Greg White on trap drums. The event was graced by the attendance of the Gallery Owner and Revolutionary Laguna Artist Mark Chamberlain, unusual for our late night “Sonic Sculpture” sessions!! check out his amazing location when you ever get to Laguna Beach. http://www.bcspace.com

Two of the members of SBE will be strolling and playing, and also spinning out mellow ambient electronica for the artists and guests at this 3rd annual event. Last year the cops came and shut us down, so no drummer, no formal band this year… heh..

We are on the main Stage at 10:30 am, Sunday may 18th. Come out and check us out

We are backing up our musical compadre’ Chris McCarthy on his amazing flute, it will be a great event, with alot of good stuff happening all day!!

In keeping with the musical theme of the event, didgeridoo player Joseph Newberry will be sitting in with us!!
